[18] Ecco come avvenne la nascita di Gesù Cristo: sua madre Maria, essendo promessa sposa di Giuseppe, prima che andassero a vivere insieme si trovò incinta per opera dello Spirito Santo.

[19] Giuseppe suo sposo, che era giusto e non voleva ripudiarla, decise di licenziarla in segreto.

[20] Mentre però stava pensando a queste cose, ecco che gli apparve in sogno un angelo del Signore e gli disse: "Giuseppe, figlio di Davide, non temere di prendere con te Maria, tua sposa, perché quel che è generato in lei viene dallo Spirito Santo.

[21] Essa partorirà un figlio e tu lo chiamerai Gesù: egli infatti salverà il suo popolo dai suoi peccati".

[22] Tutto questo avvenne perché si adempisse ciò che era stato detto dal Signore per mezzo del profeta:

[23] Ecco, la vergine concepirà e partorirà un figlio che sarà chiamato Emmanuele, che significa Dio con noi.

[24] Destatosi dal sonno, Giuseppe fece come gli aveva ordinato l'angelo del Signore e prese con sé la sua sposa,

[25] la quale, senza che egli la conoscesse, partorì un figlio, che egli chiamò Gesù.

Genesi cap. 2

[1] Così furono portati a compimento il cielo e la terra e tutte le loro schiere.

[2] Allora Dio, nel settimo giorno portò a termine il lavoro che aveva fatto e cessò nel settimo giorno da ogni suo lavoro.

[3] Dio benedisse il settimo giorno e lo consacrò, perché in esso aveva cessato da ogni lavoro che egli creando aveva fatto. [4a]Queste le origini del cielo e della terra, quando vennero creati.
[4b]Quando il Signore Dio fece la terra e il cielo, [5] nessun cespuglio campestre era sulla terra, nessuna erba campestre era spuntata - perché il Signore Dio non aveva fatto piovere sulla terra e nessuno lavorava il suolo

[6] e faceva salire dalla terra l’acqua dei canali per irrigare tutto il suolo -;

[7] allora il Signore Dio plasmò l’uomo con polvere del suolo e soffiò nelle sue narici un alito di vita e l’uomo divenne un essere vivente.

[8] Poi il Signore Dio piantò un giardino in Eden, a oriente, e vi collocò l’uomo che aveva plasmato.

[9] Il Signore Dio fece germogliare dal suolo ogni sorta di alberi graditi alla vista e buoni da mangiare, tra cui l’albero della vita in mezzo al giardino e l’albero della conoscenza del bene e del male.

[10] Un fiume usciva da Eden per irrigare il giardino, poi di lì si divideva e formava quattro corsi.

[11] Il primo fiume si chiama Pison: esso scorre intorno a tutto il paese di Avìla, dove c’è l’oro

[12] e l’oro di quella terra è fine; qui c’è anche la resina odorosa e la pietra d’ònice.

[13] Il secondo fiume si chiama Ghicon: esso scorre intorno a tutto il paese d’Etiopia.

[14] Il terzo fiume si chiama Tigri: esso scorre ad oriente di Assur. Il quarto fiume è l’Eufràte.

[15] Il Signore Dio prese l’uomo e lo pose nel giardino di Eden, perché lo coltivasse e lo custodisse.

[16] Il Signore Dio diede questo comando all’uomo: ”Tu potrai mangiare di tutti gli alberi del giardino,

[17] ma dell’albero della conoscenza del bene e del male non devi mangiare, perché, quando tu ne mangiassi, certamente moriresti”.

[18] Poi il Signore Dio disse: ”Non è bene che l’uomo sia solo: gli voglio fare un aiuto che gli sia simile”.

[19] Allora il Signore Dio plasmò dal suolo ogni sorta di bestie selvatiche e tutti gli uccelli del cielo e li condusse all’uomo, per vedere come li avrebbe chiamati: in qualunque modo l’uomo avesse chiamato ognuno degli esseri viventi, quello doveva essere il suo nome.

[20] Così l’uomo impose nomi a tutto il bestiame, a tutti gli uccelli del cielo e a tutte le bestie selvatiche, ma l’uomo non trovò un aiuto che gli fosse simile.

[21] Allora il Signore Dio fece scendere un torpore sull’uomo, che si addormentò; gli tolse una delle costole e rinchiuse la carne al suo posto.

[22] Il Signore Dio plasmò con la costola, che aveva tolta all’uomo, una donna e la condusse all’uomo.

[23] Allora l’uomo disse:
”Questa volta essa
è carne dalla mia carne
e osso dalle mie ossa.
perché dall’uomo è stata tolta”.

[24] Per questo l’uomo abbandonerà suo padre e sua madre e si unirà a sua moglie e i due saranno una sola carne.

[25] Ora tutti e due erano nudi, l’uomo e sua moglie, ma non ne provavano vergogna.

# And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.
[6] Dio disse: "Sia il firmamento in mezzo alle acque per separare le acque dalle acque".
• Dixit quoque Deus: “Fiat firmamentum in medio aquarum et dividat aquas ab aquis”.
• Dios dijo: «Que haya un firmamento en medio de las aguas, para que establezca una separación entre ellas». Y así sucedió.
# And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.
[7] Dio fece il firmamento e separò le acque, che sono sotto il firmamento, dalle acque, che son sopra il firmamento. E così avvenne.
• Et fecit Deus firmamentum divisitque aquas, quae erant sub firmamento, ab his, quae erant super firmamentum. Et factum est ita.
• Dios hizo el firmamento, y este separó las aguas que están debajo de él, de las que están encima de él;
# And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.
[8] Dio chiamò il firmamento cielo. E fu sera e fu mattina: secondo giorno.
• Vocavitque Deus firmamentum Caelum. Et factum est vespere et mane, dies secundus.
# y Dios llamó Cielo al firmamento. Así hubo una tarde y una mañana: este fue el segundo día.
• And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day.
[9] Dio disse: "Le acque che sono sotto il cielo, si raccolgano in un solo luogo e appaia l'asciutto". E così avvenne.
• Dixit vero Deus: “Congregentur aquae, quae sub caelo sunt, in locum unum, et appareat arida”. Factumque est ita.
• Dios dijo: «Que se reúnan en un solo lugar las aguas que están bajo el cielo, y que aparezca el suelo firme». Y así sucedió.
# And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.
[10] Dio chiamò l'asciutto terra e la massa delle acque mare. E Dio vide che era cosa buona.
• Et vocavit Deus aridam Terram congregationesque aquarum appellavit Maria. Et vidit Deus quod esset bonum.
• Dios llamó Tierra al suelo firme y Mar al conjunto de las aguas. Y Dios vio que esto era bueno.
# And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
[11] E Dio disse: "La terra produca germogli, erbe che producono seme e alberi da frutto, che facciano sulla terra frutto con il seme, ciascuno secondo la sua specie". E così avvenne:
• Et ait Deus: “Germinet terra herbam virentem et herbam facientem semen et lignum pomiferum faciens fructum iuxta genus suum, cuius semen in semetipso sit super terram”. Et factum est ita.
• Entonces dijo: «Que la tierra produzca vegetales, hierbas que den semilla y árboles frutales, que den sobre la tierra frutos de su misma especie con su semilla adentro». Y así sucedió.
# And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
[12] la terra produsse germogli, erbe che producono seme, ciascuna secondo la propria specie e alberi che fanno ciascuno frutto con il seme, secondo la propria specie. Dio vide che era cosa buona.
• Et protulit terra herbam virentem et herbam afferentem semen iuxta genus suum lignumque faciens fructum, qui habet in semetipso sementem secundum speciem suam. Et vidit Deus quod esset bonum.
• La tierra hizo brotar vegetales, hierba que da semilla según su especie y árboles que dan fruto de su misma especie con su semilla adentro. Y Dios vio que esto era bueno.
# And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
[13] E fu sera e fu mattina: terzo giorno.
• Et factum est vespere et mane, dies tertius.
• Así hubo una tarde y una mañana: este fue el tercer día.
# And the evening and the morning were the third day.
[14] Dio disse: "Ci siano luci nel firmamento del cielo, per distinguere il giorno dalla notte; servano da segni per le stagioni, per i giorni e per gli anni;
• Dixit autem Deus: “Fiant luminaria in firmamento caeli, ut dividant diem ac noctem et sint in signa et tempora et dies et annos,
• Dios dijo: «Que haya astros en el firmamento del cielo para distinguir el día de la noche; que ellos señalen las fiestas, los días y los años,
# And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
[15] e servano da luci nel firmamento del cielo per illuminare la terra". E così avvenne:
• ut luceant in firmamento caeli et illuminent terram. Et factum est ita.
• y que estén como lámparas en el firmamento del cielo para iluminar la tierra». Y así sucedió.
# And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
[16] Dio fece le due luci grandi, la luce maggiore per regolare il giorno e la luce minore per regolare la notte, e le stelle.
• Fecitque Deus duo magna luminaria: luminare maius, ut praeesset diei, et luminare minus, ut praeesset nocti, et stellas.
• Dios hizo que dos grandes astros –el astro mayor para presidir el día y el menor para presidir la noche– y también hizo las estrellas.
• And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
[17] Dio le pose nel firmamento del cielo per illuminare la terra
• Et posuit eas Deus in firmamento caeli, ut lucerent super terram
• Y los puso en el firmamento del cielo para iluminar la tierra,
• And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
[18] e per regolare giorno e notte e per separare la luce dalle tenebre. E Dio vide che era cosa buona.
• et praeessent diei ac nocti et dividerent lucem ac tenebras. Et vidit Deus quod esset bonum.
• 18 para presidir el día y la noche, y para separar la luz de las tinieblas. Y Dios vio que esto era bueno.
• And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.
[19] E fu sera e fu mattina: quarto giorno.
•  Et factum est vespere et mane, dies quartus.
• Así hubo una tarde y una mañana: este fue el cuarto día.
• And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.
[20] Dio disse: "Le acque brulichino di esseri viventi e uccelli volino sopra la terra, davanti al firmamento del cielo".
• Dixit etiam Deus: “Pullulent aquae reptile animae viventis, et volatile volet super terram sub firmamento caeli”.
• Dios dijo: «Que las aguas se llenen de una multitud de seres vivientes y que vuelen pájaros sobre la tierra, por el firmamento del cielo».
• And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
[21] Dio creò i grandi mostri marini e tutti gli esseri viventi che guizzano e brulicano nelle acque, secondo la loro specie, e tutti gli uccelli alati secondo la loro specie. E Dio vide che era cosa buona.
• Creavitque Deus cete grandia et omnem animam viventem atque motabilem, quam pullulant aquae secundum species suas, et omne volatile secundum genus suum. Et vidit Deus quod esset bonum;
• Dios creó los grandes monstruos marinos, las diversas clases de seres vivientes que llenan las aguas deslizándose en ellas y todas las especies de animales con alas. Y Dios vio que esto era bueno.
• And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
[22] Dio li benedisse: "Siate fecondi e moltiplicatevi e riempite le acque dei mari; gli uccelli si moltiplichino sulla terra".
• benedixitque eis Deus dicens: “Crescite et multiplicamini et replete aquas maris, avesque multiplicentur super terram ”.benedixitque eis Deus dicens: “Crescite et multiplicamini et replete aquas maris, avesque multiplicentur super terram ”.
• Entonces los bendijo, diciendo: «Sean fecundos y multiplíquense; llenen las aguas de los mares y que las aves se multipliquen sobre la tierra».
• And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth.
[23] E fu sera e fu mattina: quinto giorno.
• Et factum est vespere et mane, dies quintus.
• Así hubo una tarde y una mañana: este fue el quinto día.
• And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.
[24] Dio disse: "La terra produca esseri viventi secondo la loro specie: bestiame, rettili e bestie selvatiche secondo la loro specie". E così avvenne:
• Dixit quoque Deus: “Producat terra animam viventem in genere suo, iumenta et reptilia et bestias terrae secundum species suas”. Factumque est ita.
• Dios dijo: «Que la tierra produzca toda clase de seres vivientes: ganado, reptiles y animales salvajes de toda especie». Y así sucedió.
• And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
[25] Dio fece le bestie selvatiche secondo la loro specie e il bestiame secondo la propria specie e tutti i rettili del suolo secondo la loro specie. E Dio vide che era cosa buona.
• Et fecit Deus bestias terrae iuxta species suas et iumenta secundum species suas et omne reptile terrae in genere suo. Et vidit Deus quod esset bonum.
• Dios hizo las diversas clases de animales del campo, las diversas clases de ganado y todos los reptiles de la tierra, cualquiera sea su especie. Y Dios vio que esto era bueno.
• And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
[26] E Dio disse: "Facciamo l’uomo a nostra immagine, a nostra somiglianza, e domini sui pesci del mare e sugli uccelli del cielo, sul bestiame, su tutte le bestie selvatiche e su tutti i rettili che strisciano sulla terra".
• Et ait Deus: “Faciamus hominem ad imaginem et similitudinem nostram; et praesint piscibus maris et volatilibus caeli et bestiis universaeque terrae omnique reptili, quod movetur in terra”.
• Dios dijo: «Hagamos al hombre a nuestra imagen, según nuestra semejanza; y que le estén sometidos los peces del mar y las aves del cielo, el ganado, las fieras de la tierra, y todos los animales que se arrastran por el suelo».
• And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
[27] Dio creò l'uomo a sua immagine; a immagine di Dio lo creò;
maschio e femmina li creò.
• Et creavit Deus hominem ad imaginem suam; ad imaginem Dei creavit illum; masculum et feminam creavit eos.
• Y Dios creó al hombre a su imagen; lo creó a imagen de Dios, los creó varón y mujer.
• So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
[28] Dio li benedisse e disse loro: "Siate fecondi e moltiplicatevi, riempite la terra; soggiogatela e dominate sui pesci del mare e sugli uccelli del cielo e su ogni essere vivente, che striscia sulla terra".
• Benedixitque illis Deus et ait illis Deus: “Crescite et multiplicamini et replete terram et subicite eam et dominamini piscibus maris et volatilibus caeli et universis animantibus, quae moventur super terram”.
• Y los bendijo, diciéndoles: «Sean fecundos, multiplíquense, llenen la tierra y sométanla; dominen a los peces del mar, a las aves del cielo y a todos los vivientes que se mueven sobre la tierra».
• And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
[29] Poi Dio disse: "Ecco, io vi do ogni erba che produce seme e che è su tutta la terra e ogni albero in cui è il frutto, che produce seme: saranno il vostro cibo.
• Dixitque Deus: “Ecce dedi vobis omnem herbam afferentem semen super terram et universa ligna, quae habent in semetipsis fructum ligni portantem sementem, ut sint vobis in escam
• Y continuó diciendo: «Yo les doy todas las plantas que producen semilla sobre la tierra, y todos los árboles que dan frutos con semilla: ellos les servirán de alimento.
• And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
[30] A tutte le bestie selvatiche, a tutti gli uccelli del cielo e a tutti gli esseri che strisciano sulla terra e nei quali è alito di vita, io do in cibo ogni erba verde". E così avvenne.
• et cunctis animantibus terrae omnique volucri caeli et universis, quae moventur in terra et in quibus est anima vivens, omnem herbam virentem ad vescendum”. Et factum est ita.
• Y a todas la fieras de la tierra, a todos los pájaros del cielo y a todos los vivientes que se arrastran por el suelo, les doy como alimento el pasto verde». Y así sucedió.
•And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
[31] Dio vide quanto aveva fatto, ed ecco, era cosa molto buona. E fu sera e fu mattina: sesto giorno.
• Viditque Deus cuncta, quae fecit, et ecce erant valde bona. Et factum est vespere et mane, dies sextus.
• Dios miró todo lo que había hecho, y vio que era muy bueno. Así hubo una tarde y una mañana: este fue el sexto día.

• And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.
